Samsung Galaxy S9 codenamed “Star” goes into development

Samsung Galaxy S9 codenamed “Star” goes into development

The Samsung Galaxy S8 may have only been out for a few weeks but that doesn’t mean Samsung are slowing down. According to a Korean publication, the S9 and S9+ are codenamed “Star” and “Star 2” with development already begun. This is, according to the source, around 3 to 4 months ahead of schedule so perhaps Samsung could be looking to once again push the boundaries of design and want the extra time to fully test.
It could well be given the source that the codename may change as did with the Galaxy Note 8 but early rumors seem to peg Star as the Galaxy S9 internal designation.
Don’t expect to see the Galaxy S9 leaked any time soon but at least we know the keyword to begin looking out for as far as Samsung development goes to learn what the company has in store for us with the next device.

Headphones come in two major categories: those which sit on top of the ear and those which surround the ear. On-ear headphones are routinely more compact when folded up and take up less space in a bag or purse. Some customers also prefer the aesthetics of on-ear headphones due to over-the-ear headphones being bigger and bulkier. On-ear tend to isolate less sound (meaning more leakage) and most people find them less comfortable, but this can vary due to the materials they’re constructed with.

Samsung Galaxy A 2018

In keeping with tradition, Samsung’s next generation of mid-range smartphones are expected to make their debut early next year. Four models will be among them: A3, A5, A7 and A8. The A range is still inspired by the S range. It looks like the specs will be complementary to those of the 2017 range, with early images and information confirming this hypothesis by means of an Infinity Display screen in 18.5:9 format, similar to the one seen on the last Galaxy S8 and Note 8. In terms of the connector, users will probably be relieved to hear that there will be a mini jack to connect their headphones or earphones.
Expected launch date: January-February 2018

Samsung Galaxy S9

It’s hard to neglect mentioning the Galaxy S9 in the list of Android smartphones to keep an eye on in 2018. More precisely, it’s not one but two smartphones that should be announced. The two future successors of the S8 and S8+ could surprise everyone by appearing at the end of February instead of March, as was the case in 2017. Samsung’s two future showpieces will offer some important material innovations. From a design point of view, it's best not to expect big new features, but rather a better positioned fingerprint reader and the installation of a dual sensor camera, just like the Note 8.
